Industrial Development Wing of DGIPWM, headed by Director Industrial Development and assisted by Director Industrial Development, Deputy Director Planning and Assistant Director Planning, has primary function of industrial development at provincial level. It facilitates and assists entrepreneurs for the development of new industry in different sectors. Further, it provides feedback to the Government of Punjab on formulating industrial policies, handles industrial complaints through field formations and works on planning, promotion and development of medium and large scale industrial sector. This wing requires technical assistance from engineers of different field (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical and Textile) in order to perform its functions and to implement ‘The Punjab Industries (Control on Establishment & Enlargement), Act, 1963’ in line with Industrial Location Policy notified from time to time.
